Straight answers
What a build doesn't do.
Better you hear it now than find out in April.
- Knockout draws. The matches are scored; the draw is yours.
- Past results or an honours board. Results start from your first meeting on it.
- Taking payments. Subs are recorded, never collected.
- Official handicaps. It plays off the index you give it.
- Tee times with the club. Booking stays between you and the course.
- Your public website. The portal sits alongside it.
Who builds it
Built in-house, start to finish.
ParClub builds every society's scoring itself. Nothing is handed to an agency or a contractor, so when you ask about a rule, you're talking to the people who wrote it.

Our scoring is complicated. Can you really build it?
Probably. The software already handles two season tables on different rules, penalty shots that carry into the next season, divisions split on the day, weight for age and 36-hole days across two courses. If we can't build yours properly, we'll say so on the first call.
HowDidiDo is free and Golf Genius does everything. Why pay £950?
Both are built mainly around golf clubs and their settings. A build is written around your society's own rules instead.
Our spreadsheet works. Why change?
It works because someone keeps it working. What happens the year they stand down? A build does the same sums, and the next secretary can run it from day one.
What does the £150 a year cover?
Hosting, the licence and support from us, the people who built it, from the day it goes live.
How long does a build take?
Days, not months. One of your fixtures is set up within a few days of the first call, and the full build is usually ready within a week, in time for your next meeting.
Can we try it before we commit?
Yes. Before you pay anything, we set up one of your real fixtures for the committee to click around. Or look round the example portal now.
Do all our members need the app?
No. The secretary can run everything from the portal, and members without the app still appear in the results. Those who want it get it free on iPhone and Android. Members of your society are never charged.
What happens to our old records?
Member records and handicaps come across. Past results and trophy winners don't, so keep the old file as your archive.
Who owns the data? Can we get it out?
Your members' records are held to run your society's competitions and nothing else. Nothing is sold and there are no ads. Ask and we'll export the society's data; each member can download their own from the app. Read the build terms before you commit.
What about GDPR?
Your data is stored with Supabase, on AWS in Paris, in the EU. Members can download their own data and delete their account in the app. More in the privacy policy.
What happens to our data if ParClub stops?
Your records sit in a standard database in the EU, not a format only we can read. We'll export the society's data whenever you ask, and every member can download their own from the app.
We run a knockout. Can you do that?
The matches, yes: hole by hole, net of handicap, and written 3 and 2. The draw and the bracket, no. The matches are scored, the draw is yours.
