Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the ParClub app and service published by Greg Morris, trading as ParClub ("we", "us", "ParClub"). By creating an account or using the app you agree to these Terms.

1. The service

ParClub is a golf app. Solo and casual golfers use it to record personal rounds, track their handicap, and view GPS hole maps. Captains of a society, roll-up or any golf group use it to schedule events, manage member rosters, record group scores, compute society handicaps, and run an Order of Merit. Members of a society use it to see event details, track their handicap, and view scorecards.

2. Your account

• You're responsible for keeping your email address up to date and for everything that happens under your account.
• You won't impersonate someone else or share your sign-in credentials.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

3. Society conduct

ParClub is built around small private societies. By joining or creating one, you agree:

• Not to use it to harass, defame, or threaten other members.
• Not to upload abusive, illegal, or sexually explicit content (avatars, display names, chat).
• Not to misuse the score-recording system to falsify handicaps for competition advantage outside ParClub.
• Society captains may set additional rules for their society; membership is at the captain's discretion.

We may suspend or remove accounts that violate these rules.

4. Course and scorecard data

ParClub displays UK and Ireland golf course information (course outlines, hole layouts, par values, stroke indices) sourced from free public data, primarily OpenStreetMap, governing-body affiliated-club directories, and Wikipedia. See "Credits & data sources" inside the app for full attribution.

This data is provided for informational purposes only. We make no warranty as to accuracy. For competition handicaps and tournament submissions, captains and members are responsible for verifying scorecards against the course's official record.

5. Money

ParClub never holds, processes or transfers money. The Pot, side-game and ledger figures are a record only. Any payment happens directly between members and their group via their own banking apps. ParClub is not a party to it and is not a payment service. We are not liable for disputes, shortfalls or wagers between members.

6. User-generated content

When you record scores, post in event chat, or upload an avatar, you grant ParClub a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host and display that content within the app for the purpose of operating the service. You retain ownership of your content. Deleting your account removes your content from public view (we may retain copies for backup, audit, or legal compliance for a limited period).

7. Pricing

Solo and casual golfers are free, always. Members of a paid group are free, always. Running a group is one fee for the whole group, monthly or yearly, your choice (Pro for groups up to 20, Masters for groups up to 200, with a 7-day free trial on Masters). Your price is locked for as long as you run your group. We may change pricing for new groups in future; yours won't change.

8. Disclaimer

ParClub is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement). We're not liable for any loss caused by inability to access the app during a round, incorrect course data, or scoring disputes between members.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability under or in connection with these Terms is limited to £100 or the total you've paid us in the prior 12 months, whichever is greater. We're not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses.

10. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from the app or by emailing support@parclub.app. We may suspend or terminate your account where you've violated these Terms, with reasonable notice except in clear cases of abuse or fraud.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Disputes will be heard in the courts of England and Wales.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use of the service after a change constitutes acceptance.
