ParClub

What it is

ParClub builds a golf society's competitions exactly the way the society plays them: its season tables, handicap allowances, penalties and trophies. It then runs them at every meeting, in a web portal for the secretary and a free app for members. One fixed price, built and supported by ParClub.

£950 for the build in all. Paid by bank transfer against an invoice.

How it starts

  1. Day one: tell us how you score. A call or an email: every competition, table and rule.
  2. Within a few days: see one of your fixtures. We set up one of your real fixtures so the committee can click around it, before anything is paid.
  3. Go ahead, and pay £285. We build your competitions and bring your members and handicaps across, usually within a week.
  4. Sign it off. Your next meeting runs on it. Once you are happy, the £665 balance is due.

What the society gets

  • Every competition and season table scored to your own rules, as the cards go in
  • A portal for the secretary: start sheets with tee times and tees, handicap labels to print, and email to the whole society or one meeting's field
  • Nothing counts until the secretary publishes it. A mistake can be unpublished, fixed and published again
  • Your members and handicaps brought across from Excel, Numbers, a CSV or Airtable
  • A record of annual subs: paid, due or waived, with the bank reference
  • Your society's colours, and anything you do not run switched off

What members see

The results and tables on the society's portal, and the ParClub app, free for every member on iPhone and Android, for those who want it. Or no app at all: the secretary can enter any card, hole by hole or just the total, so no member has to download anything.

The society's data

  • Held in the EU, with Supabase on AWS in Paris.
  • Members can download their own data and delete their account in the app.
  • We export the society's data on request.
  • The secretary decides what members see of each other.
Not included
Past results and trophy history don't come across. Knockout draws stay with you. ParClub never takes payments.
Time
Days, not months. One of your fixtures to click around within a few days of the first call; the build usually within a week of the go-ahead.
